Slovak women in Padina

On Friday 10th April 2015 a book presentation Slovak women- the life stories of Slovak women in Vojvodina, was held in Padina.

The presentation was held in the premises of the Padina's local community and it was organized by the association of women, elementary school and the library. The present including the guests, the directress of CIVS Milina Sklabinská, the chief of the Department of Slovak language and Literature Jarmila Hodoličová, were greeted by the chairperson of the women association Elena Haníková.

On Monday, April 20th, 2015 at the International Book Salon in Novi Sad there was presented an artistic monograph of Maria Gasko.

This week, the latest publication of the Cultural Institute of Vojvodina's Slovaks an art monograph called Gašková by the author Sava Stepanov was published. This is the first publication from a newly created edition SlovArt, which is planned to issue similar monographs of our leading painters and artists in the future.

On Sunday, March 8th, 2015 a manifold programme was dedicated to Vojvodina Slovak women on the International Women's Day in CIVS.

Our public is already accustomed that every year the Cultural Intitute of Vojvodina's Slovaks holds a programme in Novi Sad on the occasion of Women's day which pays tribute to women. Those who are diligent, hardworking, humble, but wise, Slovak women, from Vojvodina, younger or older ones. Women who for years have an important role in maintaining Slovak idenitity and mother language.

CIVS Logo

Brand mark for CIVS was developed by the designer Andrea Mernikova whose design won the contest in 2008. She was inspired by the diversity of themes dominating on the Slovak folk costumes, handicrafts, painted plates and other creations of Slovak national culture.

At the fair Slovakiatour in Bratislava the President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska stopped by the exhibit stand of Vojvodina's Slovaks.

The 21st fair of tourism was held in Incheba on January 29th till February 1st 2015. There were over 360 exhibitors from 22 countries. Three organizations from Serbia were among them and presented the tourism of Slovaks livnig in Vojvodina. Those were the Tourist Organization of Kovačica Municipality, Tourist Organization of Bački Petrovac Municipality and the Cultural Institute of Vojvodina's Slovaks.

Digitized works of prof. Daniel Dudok

The Cultural Institute of Vojvodina's Slovaks completed the digitization of audio recordings of field research made by a university professor, a prominent linguist and researcher Daniel Dudok.
