Voices of the organs in a plain

The Cultural Institute of Vojvodina’s Croats, together with the Cultural Institute of Vojvodina’s Slovaks organizes an organ music concert called “Voices of the Organs in a Plain” in Kovačica.

The concert consisted of selected compositions from the opus of Croatian composers from Vojvodina - Stanislav Prepreka, Alba Vidaković and Josip Andrić. Selection of the compositions was made by prof. Đuro Rajković, and prof. of organs Saša Grunčić, who was also be the performer of program.

This concert was held on Sunday, June 30th, in the Slovak Evangelical a.v. Church in Kovačica.

Organ: prof. Sasha Grunčić

Sasha Grunčić was born in 1984. in Subotica, where he completed his elementary and high school at the department of piano and music theory. He graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb, 2007, the Organ Department, under the tutorage of prof. Ljerka Očić. During his studies he won several prizes on contests, and the most important was the laureate of Croatian state competition in 2006. He has performed in numerous concerts, as a solo artist (Zagreb, Subotica, Szeged) and in chamber ensembles and group concerts throughout Croatia and neighboring countries. Today he works as a professor of organ and piano accompanist at a music school in Subotica.

110 years ago, a composer and organ player W. F.Bistri, a figure of all-Slavic cultural history, settled in Padina. The anniversary of his arrival was the opportunity for CIVS to organize a concert.

On Tuesday, June 11th 2013 in Bačka Palanka, the Contract about the Common Rights and Obligations of the Founders and Organizers of the Festival “Meeting in Pivnice’s field“ was signed.
Due to the huge interest of the readers, the Cultural Institute of Vojvodina’s Slovaks published the second, expanded edition of the book Slovaks in Serbia in Terms of Culture.
On Sunday, June 9th 2013, in Cultural Center in Silbaš, the newest publication of the local Slovaks ' Silbaš – Cultural Traditions of Slovaks in Bačka' was presented.
The 20th Festival of Children's Theatrical Work "3 x Đ", which involved 13 competitive plays, ended on Sunday in Stara Pazova.
